Description |
Diamond Systems is an official Microsoft Embedded Partner and we are proud to provide complete Windows Embedded Standard development environments for our single board computers and systems. These Windows Embedded Standard Software Development Kits provide a platform for quick development on the Windows Embedded Standard operating system.
Each kit includes a licensed Windows Embedded Standard runtime image with internet access and, for our single board computers with on-board data acquisition circuitry, demo programs are also included. The kit allows you to get Windows Embedded Standard up and running quickly on Diamond Systems' SBCs and try out the many features of the products.
The Software Development Kits include a board support package (BSP) for the selected Diamond SBC. You can install this BSP and use it with Microsoft Windows developer tools to build your own Windows Embedded Standard operating system images.

Microsoft Licensing Considerations
Using this Microsoft evaluation DVD and toolkit, you can create an evaluation system image. This image is temporary and time-restricted. For deployment, the evaluation toolkit and image must be uninstalled, and a purchased, licensed toolkit installed to create a licensed image. The evaluation toolkit and image cannot be converted to a licensed product.
The evaluation toolkit should be used to gain familiarity with the software, as work done using the evaluation toolkit is not useable and transferable for creating a "production-ready" system image.
It is the customer's responsiblity to obtain fully licensed Windows Embedded toolkits, and all associated Microsoft Embedded runtime licenses, from an appropriate Microsoft Embedded Distributor.
