Standard Product Variant (SPV) process is designed to meet the exact requirements of your application by offering an
economical way to obtain popular customizations to our standard products in small quantities at reasonable prices.
Unlike customer-applied modifications, our SPV products still carry our standard warranty for added assurance.
Ruggedization is one of the most popular categories of customization. While our products are already designed with rugged
environments in mind, some situations may require an extra level of protection. Diamond has a long history of effectively and
managing these customizations for use in the most extreme vehicle and military markets.
Occasionally a customer's special requirements simply cannot
be met effectively by modifying a standard product. For these situations we offer
full-custom design/build services. Utilizing
our wide library of proven CPU and I/O technologies plus related manufacturing, testing, and logistics services, we can
cost-effectively design and produce a fully customized PCBA solution. The benefits of this approach over an in-house design
are reduced risk, reduced time to market, and reduced manpower.
Of special interest is our line of 2-in-1 SBCs. These boards include a complete data acquisition circuit
onboard with the standard SBC functionality to reduce the number of boards in a system. In many cases the data acquisition
circuit can be eliminated, and the available space can be allocated to a customer’s unique I/O circuitry. This technique
provides many compelling advantages over a full-custom design.
